Zili and Miaofen’s pre-wedding shoot with Soul Mates Bridal was all about letting go of nerves and fully enjoying the moment. The day began in our Seattle studio, where the calm preparation set the tone. From choosing the gown to hair and makeup, we made sure Miaofen felt relaxed and radiant before stepping in front of the camera.
She chose Chant de Givre, a brand-new lace dress from our Haute Couture collection. With delicate floral embroidery, shimmering layers, and a structured bodice, this gown brought a classic yet dreamy feel to the indoor portraits. Paired with a cascading orchid bouquet and a lace-trimmed veil, her look was timeless and graceful.
From Studio Calm to City Energy
Once we wrapped the indoor shoot, we headed out to capture the heart of Seattle. Starting at Pike Place Market, the couple was met with warm congratulations from smiling strangers. From the waterfront park to the iconic Seattle Great Wheel, every location added a playful, cinematic layer to their story.
For the outdoor shoot, Miaofen changed into Look 9 – Rêve d’arc-en-ciel et de plumes, a sophisticated satin gown with modern charm. The sleek, strapless silhouette highlighted her figure, while the high slit added a confident edge. The look was completed with a flowing satin scarf detailed with soft feathers, trailing behind her with an ethereal lightness that danced beautifully in the sea breeze.
What stood out most wasn’t just the skyline or the setting sun, it was how natural they felt in front of the lens. We kept the experience documentary-style and unstaged, letting real laughter and emotion guide the frames.
